yes, you should be able to plug this into the blue ray player and use it to set up the wireless network to connect to it so that you don't have to plug it in

Manufacturer usually sells a Specific Device for your Player, assuming it has the Dedicated Port for it. The Belkin is typically looking for a Windows PC.

If it does accept this type of adapter, I would get a different one if you are going to be streaming HD content because this one has a poor connection that cuts out at high-data speed transfers.
