• The USB adaptor allows your computer to identify and find wireless networks, if it couldn't before. It shouldn't matter what service you have or what type of modem, as long as you have created a wireless network. I used it on my PC desktop, which didn't have the ability to find wireless networks and required a ethernet cable to connect to the internet. Once I plugged this in, it was able to find my wireless network, just like my laptop.
