This would not be a practical solution for that need. They would need to always have a laptop or computer connected to the range extender to find and connect to the wireless network of the campsite. A better solution would be to just buy them a pre-paid cell phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Campsites can be tricky for good wifi because of all the metal in the RV's.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it's anything like the extenders I've worked with in the past, they'll need to have a laptop for the initial set up. Basically, the laptop will be used to log in to the range extender, "mirror" the existing wireless connection for the range extender and viola, they have there own little connection and can use the skype phone through the extender. My suggestion, play around with open (unsecured) wireless connections to see if you can configure it to work to the scenarios they'd be in. Once you have the understanding, explain it to them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am assuming you're asking if the Skype can be connected to the Belkin. It might work; the only thing you can do is to try. Don't forget that the Belkin has to first be set up by Ethernet to a computer and after that you can disconnect the computer and power but then it has to be plugged into AC power all the time after initial setup to function.
