• Yes, I have the iPhone 7 and have no problems with it. The lightning adapter adjusts in multiple ways, so it will accommodate cases of different thicknesses as well. I've had it about a month and it's been working great for me!

• Love the charger unit. However I have the iPhone 6S so do not know if it works with the 7. It should.

• The phone would work, but your case may not. If your case has a tab covering the lightning connector, it will not seat properly. I had the same problem with an Apple brand phone charger I purchased for $ 35. Everything works with a thin Apple case.
