• You may use this car charger with your phone, Jbeanie736. However, you'd need an appropriate USB cable wherein the other end matches your phone's.

• No, this product is a USB Type-C. The Type C is mostly for newer phones. For an S5, you'd probably be looking for a micro-USB charger
