I saw the answer to your question after I got home with it and I plugged it all in and the Chromecast with Google TV showed not enough power on the screen. I was like darn, I guess I'll have to order a different one. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 which has a charger that is USB c to USB c. Guess what? The Chromecast with Google TV works just fine with this. I'm so happy!!! So, the answer to your question is Yes, it does with the right charger.

I bought this to do the same thing, and I can confirm it DOES NOT WORK I tried several high power adapters and continued to get the Google low power message. Dissapointed
