Hi Ken. This port is intended for pass-through charging the connected USB-C device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The symbol means constant voltage and ground, i.e., D.C. power supply. In this device, it's an input. I expect that you can use the adapter without a charging cable plugged in, since USB-C can supply power. I will check that when I get this device. I have not seen a spec on the power draw of the adapter itself, but obviously it will draw some power from your computer's battery if a charger is not plugged into the adapter (assuming, again, that the adapter can draw from the USB-C port on your computer).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a USB-C port for providing power to your device while using ht adapter.
