- Answer Never go against what Samsung says do. It may be down the road later but there will usually be a problem. I know Samsung very very well. I do all their DVMS and other air-conditioning systems as well as their communication systems. Everything I have is Samsung just so I can work on their different systems. Samsung is Samsung the same as Apple is Apple.

QuestionI'm trying to record audio on note 8 using external mic with irig interface. I have a soundcard as well but nothing happened when I try to listen to audio in real time. Will this help power the soundcard I have to make it work properly?

- Answer No. It is not a video cable. Also iphones do not have a USB C connector. They have a lightening connector. This cable was purchased to move files from a standard USB thumb drive to a Samsung tablet or phone. I assume to do what you want, you would need something with a lightening connector on one end (for the phone) and a HDMI connector on the other (for the TV). Mark
