• What you're describing is called USB Tethering. Unfortunately, it depends greatly on the specific hotspot hardware you're using. Some mobile hardware supports it and some doesn't. On the PC side you'll be fine as long as it has an Ethernet port (and isn't a Mac trying to connect through an Android device).
