No, all this can do it turn the outlet on and off. I use mine to turn a neon wall clock on and off on a schedule so it doesnt stay lit 24/7.

Hi. The WEMO Switch will let you turn your Thermostat on or off from anywhere. However, it doesn't have the capability to manage it.

You can operate your Thermostat from the Wemo app depending on which thermostat you have. I have the Nest and it works great with that.

I guess if you had an electric heater plugged in you could have a ON/OFF toggle with this switch (assuming the heater is 'on' and set to a temperature for auto shutoff)... For thermostat control try searching for "WiFi thermostat" - lots of solutions out there, but the right one depends on the # of wires you need, # of stages of heating/cooling, and compatibility with your phone/tablet/HCI (human computer interaction).... mat
