• You should charge it face up. A white light would appear (aside from your phone indicating such). If you try ti charge your phone face down, a yellow light will appear and will not charge. I have verified this myself.

• Face up which is nice you can see the progress of the phone's charge!

• You put the phone screen facing up because the qi coil is in the back of the phone.
