It is made of plastic..I read research where scientists say you should not put hot liquids in plastic or drink from plastic that is heated because..regardless of whether it is bpa free or not...heat helps chemicals from leaching out of the plastic. Perhaps you could blend the liquid when cold and then boil it in the microwave or hot stove.
