“I’ve had a toaster me for six months and it’s toasting unevenly one side is darker than the other. . Is it a defect? If so what do I do?”

• As you can tell from the official company's answer ("No, it is not a defect. Have a nice day.") that is just the way the toaster is designed to work (if you consider that working). The fact that it is designed so poorly and therefore toasts unevenly isn't considered a defect by the folks as Bella who would have to fix the problem if they admitted that it is a problem. So they won't offer you any resolution to the problem, other than encouraging you and your half-burnt, half-untoasted bread to have a nice day.
