No, you just use the plug. No switches on this item

You have to plug and unplug it Slight nuisance, but not enough to walk away from it I was satisfied I was able to cook 1” Pattie’s (2 raw ones I formed myself) in under 7 minutes at the same time with 1 flip

It does not have on/off switch. No temperature control setting either. It's ON when plugged in, OFF when unplugged.
