Absolutely not. When I received this purchase, I thought I was making a mistake because the maker is just so small, almost like a toy for kids. Then I started to make the first waffle for my 8 year old son (already have another Bella, bigger version) he was just ecstatic because it tastes so soft and a bit chewy, peritoneal to his liking. He started to want to make himself. He just sticks to this smaller version
