• I don't see why you can't, but you might want to put something under it to protect the table top from the heat. Also, the cord is only about 30 inches long, so you need to consider the distance to the outlet - might need an extension cord.

• You can put it anywhere, but unless you have an exhaust nearby, you will smell the food cooking , because that's what happens when food cooks? You should also put protection from heat underneath it. Just to be on the safe side.

• I find that for most foods there is very little cooking odor. I'm sure you could put it on the table in your patio. But I would put some kind of heat resistant pad underneath just to be sure you don't damage the table.
