How do I preheat the air fryer null

I have search online and says to just turn on and adjust temperature and wait 3-5 minutes, but it turns off in a minute. No where in the manual or displays says anything about preheat. I think newer models do not need it. Just select temperature and time and hit start. I just did boneless pork chops for 400 degrees at 15 minutes, and flip over at time it said 4 minutes, and they came out perfect. That is 4 pork chops.
