I haven't tried it with just one food item but from what I read you can take the divider out and use one side of it. You may want to consider setting the temp for both sides depending on what you are cooking.

Yes, you can take the divider out and just use it as one regular, large air fryer. That is the only way I use it and it works great.

Once, it have a dual button it you need to cook with different temp. Other wise remove the divider, set and start.
