• A:Answer No: The machine does not have an internal coffee grinder. Using coarser Drip grind will result in very weak coffee. This machine requires fine ground coffee for proper extraction. Most local coffee roasters sell fine / espresso GRIND coffee (NOT espresso ROAST). Or my favorite is Gevalia Special Reserve Papua New Guinea Single Origin Medium Roast Fine Ground Coffee. Or, buy whole beans and a quality burr coffee grinder.

Q: QuestionCan i just froth milk, or do I need to make espresso first? If I can, how do I do that? When I turn it on, the screen flashes and automatically only asks if I want one or two espresso cups?

• A:Answer Yes you can do just frothing milk when the screen is flashing it meant it’s not ready to make the coffee you have to wait till it finishes flashing then select what you want if it doesn’t stop flashing it meant it’s missing something also when the water light is flashing it means it needs deep cleaning

Q: QuestionDoes this machine require cleaning daily?

• A:Answer Daily descaling is not required. After each day you should run a cleansing water shot or two. If you use the milk frother, that should also be cleaned daily by rinsing the milk reservoir and tubing, and then filling the reservoir with water and running a latte program (can be done with the above cleansing procedure).
