So it sounds like this brews around 180 degrees F. Coffee should always be brewed at 205 degrees Fahrenheit. Anything less is not fully extracting the flavor of your coffee...especially something 25 degrees to low.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sounds like you may have a defect. Ours will send you to the ER upon brewing, if you make a mistake. I may be wrong, but I believe the strength settings on the brew are just the amount of water released and seep time to affect boldness. It may vary temperature, but I have not noticed any changes. The carafe burner has 3 heat settings for pot idle/standby temp. Wish i knew for sure, but not warm coffee from ours, hot all the time.
