Depends on what you think is a "large" bagel. I'm in NYC, where bagels can be enormous (though not necessarily better tasting for that). But anything more than 4" in diameter (i.e., 4 x 2, next to each other) could only fit if the pieces were stacked slightly, so if you were looking to melt cheese on them, you would have to be very careful as far as cooking time and temperature or the melted cheese might just wind up in the bottom of the cooking area.
