Is there any way to get rid of the intense burning plastic smell? The first one I got smelled so intensely we had to air the house out. The replacement unit still reeks after running it (outside) for over an hour. null

When we turned it on to see if it is working, we did smell something like a burning plastic as well, but we let it on for I think 1 hour ( automatically turns off, but we turn on again) and the smell has gone. I think it’s bec it’s new.

Did you wash it before use, as instructed in the manual?

A mild plastic odor happened on first use with food, but dissipated quickly, and has not returned on subsequent use of the appliance. I've never run mine for an hour with food in it. Your issue may be related to what you were cooking and the time and temperature selected. The appliance is not intended to operate without food in it.
