Hi Bobby, the picture is for the setting on 2. I cannot possible use anything higher because it literally burned the bread. Also, I just toasted some almonds 3 mins on 350 bake. The back ones were burned and the front were ok. Also, one time the screen randomly was blank I still I am plugged the unit. I think I got a bad unit. Thank you for trying to help

Originally I put toast close to the front because I was just doing 1 toast. Then I tried putting it straight in the middle. Putting it in the middle helped very slightly. But its still not even.
