• It has a black coating that I would presume is food safe. Only metal it is exposed to is if I line it with foil.

• Everything inside air fryer is Teflon made except inner top heating element which I believe is a high gauge heating coil similar to an electrical stove. There haven’t been a reports of any sickness.

• The basket and grate that directly touch the food are metal painted with a nonstick coating. I worry about the smell of hot plastics emitting fumes into the food and the air.
