If something desires a preheat, I suggest adding an extra minute or two at the desired heat, or just running it at the desired preheat for the suggested time, when done then adding in whatever it is you wish to cook for the time and temp needed.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It doesn't have a pre-heat button. You just add a couple of minutes to the cook time. It has a power button you can turn it off, by holding the button for a few seconds.

My daughter having hers longer & always using it, she said lots of times she really doesn't need to use the preheating option. I think it would probably depend on exactly what u r cooking. But yes, evidently u can choose to preheat it or just start it up. Like to just reheat garlic bread slices or maybe mozzarella sticks, u could maybe skip preheat. But if cooking like a piece of meat or chicken, would definitely use preheat
