“Do plastic parts come in contact with water? Like the inside of the lid?”

• I wish people would stop saying plastic does not contact the water. The top of the tea steeper is plastic inside, the underside of the kettle’s lid is plastic, and the piece that holds the screen in the spout is plastic. You’d have to remove the steeper and the spout screen and run the unit without the lid (not safe or efficient) to avoid plastic contact.

• No they do not. Only the screw on top of the seeping basket and that is only when you choose to lower it into the water
