I wish people would stop saying plastic does not contact the water. The top of the tea steeper is plastic inside, the underside of the kettle’s lid is plastic, and the piece that holds the screen in the spout is plastic. You’d have to remove the steeper and the spout screen and run the unit without the lid (not safe or efficient) to avoid plastic contact.
