• Yes, the container bottom contact with the resistance is wet, you need to dry it as much as possible

• I am sure you have it figured out by now, but for anyone else reading this, you need to turn on the power button first, and then your selection button.

• The water will only boil by using the black tea boil button. If thats not working, I would say you have a defective pot.
