“Can anyone tell me what size wood the shelves are made of? From the pictures I've seen posted in the reviews the top shelf looks like three 2x6's attached and the bottom shelves look like 1x6's. Thank you.”

• I'm pretty sure all the shelves are MDF with veneer. For this price, you are not going to get solid wood. Nonetheless, the stand looks good and is sturdy.

• actually the top shelf is 3 inches thick, and only the appearance of 6 inch boards together. Its one solid piece. The 2 lower shelves are 1 1/2 inches thick, and solid pieces. Very sturdy unit .Love the look as well.
