• A:Answer It has been my experience that, yes, Best Buy giftcards may be used to purchase a cellphone of any brand. Furthermore, Best Buy giftcards may even be used to make a carrier required security deposit for either or both the phone or to establish service should the specific carrier require one based upon a credit check.
