No, it only has R/L stereo lines.

No it probably wont. Notice the 2 black rings? That lets you know that its only intended for stereo equipment, if it had 3 rings that would indicate that its intended for use with stereo equipment with a microphone, like the jack does in the picture.

So that depends on which type of microphone you have if it is an aux type of cable you can get these little adapters for cheap that let you connect the headphones and microphone and the adapter becomes one aux cable which you can then plug into the extension cable

It should do both, depending on the plug on the headset. Make sure both match, as in 3 conductors. Also, your headset should have a male connector (plug). To make an extension, the new cable should have a male on one end and a female (jack) on the other. Easy-Cheesy!
