The port with the lightning bolt is for faster charging depending on the compatibility of the device you are using. It could be that your PS5 Controller is not compatible with Fast Charging. Dina || Best Buy Essentials Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The color of the port indicates which USB standard it meets. I don't want to give wrong information, so I won't quote specifics from memory. Just search Google for USB standards and read a bit. I am certain of my part of my memory regarding blue and black ports. The black port is an older USB standard while the blue port is a newer standard. The blue port puts out more current. Most likely, your PS5 needs more current than the black port is providing. Make Google your friend.... there is much to learn.
