• Yes. The attaching the back can be removed.

• yes bur be careful, the ball joint mount is sensitive. I found it to break after repetitive removal.

• The mount is removeable, but the round section on the back of the charging unit (where the ball mount fits in) is not. You can probably lay it down on a seat, but it will not lay completely flat.
