• This device has no Bluetooth capability, Carplay on older car models. CarPlay functionality is based on the Bluetooth connection and wired connection to the radio. So if your pluging in a no bluetooth connection carplay will not recognize it as a media device. There are other options like buying a carplay mirroing doggle or device.
