• I live in the country and I get good reception. I live 30 minutes outside of Longview, TX I have the antenna attached to the wall with command strips. I was able to receive 20-25 channels. I love the antenna and will eventually purchase it again for a second tv in my home. I hope this information is helpful.

• 50 miles is stretching it a bit. It depends if there a trees and/or mountains between you and the transmission antenna.
