I was able to use it just fine with a Sony HT-S400 soundbar. There are a few things I would consider before using it, though; the first being that it has a 20 lb. weight limit. It's also got the capacity to secure compatible soundbars to the brackets via screws that can be threaded through the bottom of the brackets and into the soundbar. My soundbar was not compatible with this feature which was fine as I wanted something where I could easily move the soundbar for cleaning purposes. It was sort of stressful installing the brackets myself since there are two and they need to be level. With the tools I had at my disposal I was able to successfully install the brackets so that they were off about 1/32". You'll need a drill and some bits capable of boring through drywall (the manual has the specifications) and a level of some sort. Overall, I got it to work into my setup in manner that I would consider satisfactory and feel that it is great value for the money so long as you don't mind a DIY project.
