TV specs refer to VESA mounting. It means this kind of mount will work, the extension is continuously variable from flat against the wall to full extension and everything in between

Your TV must have a VESA standard 4 hole pattern for any Wall mount to work.
This wall mount covers several VESA sizes: 400x400 and up
(200x200 is for 32 in or smaller)

Mount extends out from wall all the way listed, and adjustable all the way back to flush, anywhere in between
