No I dont think you can ajust it, its for studs 16 inches apart or less.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I mount a piece of painted plywood to the wall behind the tv and lag that to the studs, then you can run lags into the plywood wherever you need to make the tv mount in the location you desire.
