• No I dont think you can ajust it, its for studs 16 inches apart or less.

• Yes you can also mount a four foot 2X6 across your wall and put the mount on that and then hang the TV and that will hold the weight of the television set and no one will see it because it will be behind the television set .

• Walmart has one online that pulls away from the wall and comes with wings that extend two 22 on center studs

• No. The bracket that bolts to the wall is only ~18" wide. Clearly this bracket is intended for wall studs on 16" centers.

• I mount a piece of painted plywood to the wall behind the tv and lag that to the studs, then you can run lags into the plywood wherever you need to make the tv mount in the location you desire.
