Yes, you will need a Philip screwdriver. If you are mounting the tv yourself like i did. Its better if you have a power drill and a stud finder. If your having a best buy employee mount it for you they will do everything.

Studfinder, drill, level, wrench or socket set.

Phillips’ head screwdriver and a drill is all we needed, I think.

This mount holds the TV so close to the wall the tilt function will require a special tool to use (or adjust the tilt to zero and tighten before mounting the TV). Rear facing jacks are impossible to access (check your TV)
