• The third button is the one in the center,it works for scrolling and also to click

• The scrolling wheel can be depressed as the third switch. No instructions were given as to how to use it, however.

• The three buttons include the two on each side of the wheel and the third is the wheel itself, which you click on by pressing down on it. For me it gives me copies of web pages or it can also eliminate web pages. I'm sure it has different functions for playing games.
