Hi Ali! Totaltech will cover most tech that you already own, but it does not retroactively add the Best Buy protection plan/AppleCare+ to past purchases. This only applies to purchases from when you bought the membership and for as long as it's active. You would however be able to return/exchange the products only if they are still in the return policy window and then get the membership benefits.
