- Answer I recently purchased a new Laptop computer at Best Buy. I had Web Root on my old computer and had made arrangements to continue my virus protection with them for another year. The Best Buy Total Membership tech. Looked up my Member ID# and My Web Root Code and they transferred it to my new Laptop they were setting up for me. Very easy process.
