    • Answer Geek Squad in store appointments have a 20 minute allotted timeframe. Typically for more complex issues they will need to check in the device to run full diagnostics and then repair what they find. These diagnostics can take several hours by themselves. If the issue is something that they can quickly see and repair, they may be able to do it within that 20 minute timeframe. For the issue you mentioned with your laptop not turning on, this would likely need to be checked in and possibly sent to our service center for complex hardware repairs depending on what they find.

    • Answer Omg. Please read this. It will not. That’s NOT cover you. I spent hours on with them today to get nowhere and ultimately they will charge you to come and diagnose your washer and dryer. Claiming that the repair will be cover once they do. Which is also untrue. Then. If you give up like I did and pay for the call. You will realize that you aren’t even on with someone who can really schedule you. They will tell you someone “should call you within 48 hrs” to see if they can get you onto a schedule with a third party. If you’ve ever been down this road before you know where it’s headed. Save your money and use it when the machine breaks to pay a repair man. Stop giving it to these companies.

    • Answer You do not have to renew and if you can get other coverage on your product I would. This service is not worth the paper it is written on. You have a deductible even though you paid alot of money for the service and they out source the work when possible. and there are many delays and no one can tell you anything about your product.

So as long as they live in the same household as the member listed on the account, then yes, it does cover family members.

    • Answer You pay 199/year and it covers delivery and install on everything you buy that year + a warranty. I had a refrigerator delivered and installed and it would have cost me that much for just the delivery and install on this one item. A couple of months later I bought an 86" tv and the delivery and install was free. This works on a lot of stuff that Best Buy offers. For me it was worth it. There is also a 60 day return window I believe. The warranty is only good for two years, after that I will cancel the total tech membership.
