The diameter appears to be about 8 inches. Why this info wasn't listed in any details of specs, I don't know. But the diameter is enough for a large pot, which I placed on it. However, I had better warn you: I do not recommend this double-burner hot plate. Shortly after I bought it, one of the burners caught fire. I was lucky to be standing nearby to douse the flame right away. DO NOT BUY IT!
