• I cleaned my area rugs and very little water came through. I know that will depend on the thickness of your area rug. I was surprised. it even dried within 4-5 hours.

• This thing cleans deep. So I imagine so. I would maybe use the attachment for something like that instead... or take it outside to clean it.
