Not sure what regular floors are, but maybe hardwood flooring? This works well on that--it has good suction and the wheels are large enough and slightly cushioned so they roll smoothly and quietly on the hardwood. Also works great on carpets and throw rugs. On some of the smaller rugs I reduce the suction a little (thicker carpet setting) to keep from pulling them up.

Simply flip the switch and go from hardwood floor to carpet in a split second. The switch is right on the body and easily reached.
