Yes and no... you can use it to vacuum the floors however this vacuum has no hose attachment which is a huge issue when trying to thoroughly clean everything. You still need your old vacuum with the hose attachment.

It's not meant to vacuum regular carpet; however, it can be used to spot clean. I wouldn't do my entire carpeted room with it.
