“I used this for the 1st time & I noticed the machine sometimes makes a kinda muffled pop sound & then the suction cuts out. I can't get the suction back w/out emptying the dirty water, which is nowhere near full. Normal or defective?”

Very normal it just means that yes you do have the empty the water I kind of dislike that part because the dirty water tank is not even a quarter full
