It’s handheld & cordless. Very convenient. You can only use it on level surfaces. Works well for what it’s designed to do, but not as easy as the Manufacturer portrays it.

In use, you hold it by the handle and press down at a slight angle (nose downwards, rear upwards), going forward and backwards. It does not steam, or otherwise heat any liquid, it sprays out via a nozzle on the front, a premixed cleaning solution (it recommends premixed solution from Bissell). I believe it can only clean horizontal surfaces, though I could be mistaken. All the dirty water it "sucks up" goes into a dirty water tank on the bottom of the unit.

Thank God for the pet eraser, I can hold it in my hand add some shampoo and water and it gets everything out just with the back and forth and also can use couches. As you go back and forth there is a brush underneath that scrubs up the stain. The water is sucked up and you pour it out. Are used to use and smells so good!
