• The mop recommends distilled, but I would imagine that is an attempt to avoid hard water build up within the machine. If you do not have hard water, this may not be a large concern, but using distilled could prolong the life of the mop.

• You can use either. The booklet will tell you as well. As long as it is not tap water

• Water must be low in salt content to prevent salt buildup and clogging. If purifier removes salt such as a deionizer should permit long life.
