I've only used the mop once since I purchased it, but I definitely had to use hot water to wash the pad since it was pretty grimy upon removal. I was almost tempted to run it through the wash cycle once more to thoroughly clean it. I wonder why they advise using cold water when it uses the hot steam to clean.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use hot water (sanitize cycle on my washing machine)and it does not seem to matter. I might be shortening the life of a pad, but I would rather have the pad sanitized after use than for it to last a little bit longer, and possibly spread dirt and germs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I throw them in the washer with my towels. I have even put them in the dryer with no shrinkage!
